Sunday Reminder
Each Sunday I'll find an older post pertaining to the current week's theme, polish it up, and re-share it.
Here's today's "Sunday Reminder"
Broken Leg
[November 20, 2019]
One of our goats broke a leg. Trying to reach high for leaves, she slipped and her leg wedged into the fork of a tree. You can picture the rest.
Meanwhile, all the other livestock ate contently near the ground.
Our gaze often determines our fate.
She stared and stared at those unreachable leaves, ignoring the nutritious grass and shrubs all around her. Her stare became an irresistible “lust". And now she’s in a cast.
What we gaze at, fixate on, stare at, spend our time looking toward: that’s where we end up going, despite logic, critical thinking, or even our own best interest.
People like us stare at the world we know is possible.
And that’s where we’re going.
