I’ve encountered a wide range of inspired (and inspiring) people. I’ve noticed a curious correlation with inspiration: the stronger the inspiration, the more potent the emotional landscape. In other words, the package deal of inspiration always includes a plethora of strong emotions, many of them negative.

Divine creativity has a shadow, and in that shadow lurks a diversity of difficult emotions: anxiety, insecurity, fear, restlessness, self-pity, and doubt, to name a few.
